The purpose of the Research Grant is to stimulate studies involving little known and (probable) endangered species. As in many cases conservation measures are not possible due to a lack of information on the distribution and taxonomy of endangered species, we will give priority to studies that increase our knowledge on these subjects. Preferably these studies should be conducted by local students or scientists.
